AMZ Prep Team Volunteers with Who Is Hussain at Toronto Community Meal Service
AMZ Prep, a global third-party logistics and fulfillment provider, sent a team of employees to volunteer at a community meal service in downtown Toronto, organized by the international volunteer movement Who Is Hussain.
Team members served meals to people experiencing homelessness across a full-day service. Volunteers also ran a barbering station on site, offering free haircuts to anyone attending.
The event marks AMZ Prep’s first organized company volunteering day. The company has committed to returning in September with a larger team and support across a broader set of activities.
‘We spend most of our year solving logistics problems for the brands we work with,’ said Blair Forrest, Founder of AMZ Prep. ‘A day like this is a reminder that the same effort is worth something in the communities we operate in. Our team gave up Saturday for it, and we’ll be back.’
Who Is Hussain operates in approximately 90 cities across five continents. Local volunteer teams organize food services, blood drives, and clothing distribution based on the needs of their own city. The organization is a registered charity in England and Wales.
AMZ Prep plans to make community volunteering a recurring part of its calendar, with future events to be announced through the company newsroom.
