Most 3PLs will tell you they can handle anything. We will tell you something more useful.

AMZ Prep is built for a specific type of brand at a specific stage of growth. When the fit is right, we work as an extension of your operations team. This page explains exactly who we serve, what problems we solve, and where a different partner makes more sense.
The Brand Profile We Serve Best
The brands we work with share a common situation. They are scaling across more than one channel. Amazon is a real revenue driver. And their current fulfillment setup has become the ceiling on their growth.
The brands we serve best:
- Do 300 or more orders per month across their channel mix
- Sell on Amazon plus at least one other channel: Shopify, Walmart, B2B retail, TikTok Shop, or their own DTC store
- Are losing money or time on FBA placement fees, slow check-in times, or Q4 inventory freezes
- Need Canadian fulfillment as a real channel, not a workaround
- Want Seller Fulfilled Prime for big and bulky products, meltables, or high-value goods
- Require B2B retail compliance: EDI, routing guides, Walmart and Costco vendor standards
- Ship temperature-sensitive, hazmat, or oversized products that standard 3PLs restrict or turn away
- Need last mile delivery coverage across the US and Canada from one partner
If three or more of those match your situation, AMZ Prep is worth a conversation.
The Problems We Were Built to Solve
Amazon placement fees
Our Middle Mile program piggybacks on AMZ Prep’s existing FBA truck volume to get inventory into Amazon FCs in 2 to 4 days. Our Amazon Replenishment Program uses 5-way split routing to eliminate placement fee exposure entirely. Processing fees run under $1.50 per case, compared to approximately $2.50 per case through Amazon AWD. Brands that move to this program typically go from 20+ day FBA check-in times to 3 to 5 days.
Inventory stuck between channels
Most DTC-first 3PLs treat Amazon as an add-on. Shipments queue behind DTC orders for two or more weeks. AMZ Prep routes Amazon replenishment on a separate track from DTC orders. We also support drip-feed replenishment, sending a set volume of inventory to FBA on a weekly basis. This improves your IPI score, reduces storage fees, and keeps inventory turning faster than monthly or quarterly drops.
Q4 inventory freezes
Amazon AWD froze inventory for thousands of sellers in Q4 2024. Brands could not get stock in or out during peak season. Hundreds moved to AMZ Prep after that quarter. Our network does not depend on Amazon’s own infrastructure to move inventory, so Q4 volume spikes do not create the same risk.
No visibility into inbound inventory
Our Navigate platform gives real-time inbound tracking and case-level routing visibility inside Seller Central. Automated shipping plan creation means no manual back-and-forth on labels, routing, or packing lists. Labels and packing lists push to the warehouse automatically.
Cross-border shipping between the US and Canada
We treat Canada as a primary fulfillment node, not an afterthought. Our Prep Parcel service gives brands access to AMZ Prep’s enterprise parcel buying power and 20+ carrier network without needing enterprise volume. It covers US-Canada cross-border parcel shipping with zone skipping and carrier routing built for cross-border volume, plus last mile delivery across both markets.
Temperature-sensitive and restricted products
Our Cold Storage 3PL handles products that standard fulfillment networks cannot. Supplements, food, CPG, meltables, and other temperature-sensitive goods are stored and shipped under controlled conditions. Unlike Amazon AWD, AMZ Prep places no SKU category restrictions on cold chain, meltables, big and bulky, or CPG products.
Big and bulky products FBA cannot absorb
For brands selling oversized products, FBA is often not an option. Our Seller Fulfilled Prime program lets brands keep the Prime badge while fulfilling from AMZ Prep warehouses. We work directly with Amazon’s SFP team, operate 6 days a week across SFP facilities, and support mandatory weekend shipping. Standard-size SFP coverage reaches 30% same-day and 70% two-day delivery. Big and bulky coverage reaches 10% same-day and 40%+ two-day.
Parcel costs eating into margin
Our Prep Parcel service gives brands access to AMZ Prep’s carrier network and negotiated rates without needing to be a large shipper. Carrier diversification through Prep Parcel also protects against peak-season bottlenecks when single-carrier setups break down.
B2B retail compliance
We support full EDI, routing guides, and vendor compliance standards for Walmart, Costco, and other major retailers. Most DTC-first 3PLs do not. If B2B retail is part of your channel mix, this is a frequent gap.

Where Another Partner Makes More Sense
AMZ Prep is not the right answer for every brand, and we say that directly.
If you are Amazon-only with a simple SKU catalog and no plans to expand channels, Amazon AWD is built for that model. We will tell you that in our first call.
If you are under 300 orders per month, our network pricing does not scale down efficiently. A local prep center or a regional 3PL will serve you better at that volume.
If your primary goal is the lowest per-unit pick-and-pack cost, we are probably not the right comparison. Our pricing reflects network coverage, dedicated support, and tech infrastructure.
If we are not the right fit, we will point you toward someone who is.
