UK 3PL Coverage
Lichfield fulfillment, shipped from a real UK facility
AMZ Prep does not have a warehouse in Lichfield. We serve Lichfield from our Northampton facility, 49.4 miles away, and get orders there through UK-wide courier networks rather than a local building. Here's exactly how that works, and what it means for a Lichfield-based seller.
How Coverage Works
No warehouse in Lichfield, and that's fine
A lot of 3PL websites imply a local presence in every city they list. AMZ Prep would rather tell you exactly where your inventory sits and how it gets to Lichfield from there.
AMZ Prep does not have its own warehouse physically inside Lichfield. Orders for Lichfield-based sellers, and shipments heading to customers in Lichfield, move through AMZ Prep's nearest real UK facility instead: Northampton, at Swan Valley Way, Northampton, 49.4 miles from Lichfield. From there, UK-wide courier networks handle the last-mile delivery, the same way they would from any 3PL that doesn't put a building on every high street.
That distance is worth stating plainly rather than glossing over. A named facility 49.4 miles away, with a real address you can check, is a more useful fact than a page that vaguely claims to be "local" without saying where anything actually is. Fulfillment logistics work on courier reach, not on how many miles separate a warehouse from a customer's front door. A single, well-run facility can serve a wide radius reliably; it doesn't need a duplicate of itself in every postcode.
What matters for a Lichfield seller isn't proximity in miles, it's whether service commitments hold up regardless of distance. They do. The 48-hour UK shipping standard, 99.8% order accuracy, and the full service catalogue below apply to Lichfield exactly as they apply to a city sitting next door to Northampton.

Certifications & Scale
The network behind Northampton
Northampton isn't a standalone operation. It's one node in a certified, audited network that processes millions of units a month, which is part of why service to Lichfield holds up without a local warehouse.
AMZ Prep runs 50+ fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Netherlands, and UAE, processing more than 8 million units a month across that network. Northampton draws on the same systems, training, and quality controls as every other facility in it, which is why Lichfield sellers get the same accuracy rate and service catalogue as sellers next door to a facility.

FAQ
Common questions about Lichfield coverage
Does AMZ Prep have a warehouse in Lichfield?
No. AMZ Prep does not operate a warehouse physically inside Lichfield. Sellers based in or shipping to Lichfield are served from AMZ Prep's nearest real UK facility, Northampton (Swan Valley Way, Northampton), which is 49.4 miles away. That facility is a real, named address you can look up, not a vague claim of local presence.
How does AMZ Prep deliver to Lichfield?
Orders bound for Lichfield are picked, packed, and dispatched from the Northampton facility, then handed to UK-wide courier networks for last-mile delivery. This is standard 3PL practice: a facility covers a wide radius through couriers rather than needing a separate warehouse in every city it serves. The general UK shipping standard is 48 hours, regardless of how far a given city sits from the facility that ships it.
What is the closest AMZ Prep facility to Lichfield?
The closest AMZ Prep facility to Lichfield is Northampton, located at Swan Valley Way, Northampton, 49.4 miles away. AMZ Prep operates five UK facilities in total, in Southampton, Peterborough, Northampton, Heathrow, and Wallasey, and Northampton is the one assigned to cover Lichfield.
What services are available for Lichfield-based sellers?
Sellers in Lichfield have full access to Amazon FBA prep, DTC order fulfillment, cold storage, kitting and bundling, labeling, custom packaging, polybagging, quality inspection, and returns processing. None of these services depend on Lichfield having a local AMZ Prep facility. They are fulfilled out of Northampton and shipped UK-wide through the same courier networks used for every other city outside AMZ Prep's five physical UK locations.
What's the minimum order volume to work with AMZ Prep from Lichfield?
AMZ Prep requires a minimum of 300 orders per month. Sellers in Lichfield can reach that minimum by combining FBA prep, DTC fulfillment, and shipping volume rather than needing 300 orders in a single service line.
How long does onboarding take for a Lichfield seller?
Onboarding takes 2 to 4 weeks regardless of where in the UK a seller is based, including Lichfield. The timeline covers integration, inventory transfer or inbound shipping to Northampton, and setup of the specific services a seller needs, such as FBA prep or DTC fulfillment.
Could AMZ Prep open a facility closer to Lichfield?
Possibly. AMZ Prep maintains an extensive network of partner and leased-facility relationships across the UK, and a new location is driven by real seller volume and service fit in a given market, not a fixed list of cities. If your business has meaningful order volume in or around Lichfield, reach out and AMZ Prep will evaluate whether a dedicated or partner facility there makes sense for both sides.
