UK 3PL Coverage
Durham fulfillment, shipped from a real UK facility
AMZ Prep does not have a warehouse in Durham. We serve Durham from our Wallasey facility, 111.5 miles away, and get orders there through UK-wide courier networks rather than a local building. Here's exactly how that works, and what it means for a Durham-based seller.
How Coverage Works
No warehouse in Durham, and that's fine
A lot of 3PL websites imply a local presence in every city they list. AMZ Prep would rather tell you exactly where your inventory sits and how it gets to Durham from there.
AMZ Prep does not have its own warehouse physically inside Durham. Orders for Durham-based sellers, and shipments heading to customers in Durham, move through AMZ Prep's nearest real UK facility instead: Wallasey, at Unit 5 Ocean Park, Dock Road, Wallasey, CH41 1HW, 111.5 miles from Durham. From there, UK-wide courier networks handle the last-mile delivery, the same way they would from any 3PL that doesn't put a building on every high street.
That distance is worth stating plainly rather than glossing over. A named facility 111.5 miles away, with a real address you can check, is a more useful fact than a page that vaguely claims to be "local" without saying where anything actually is. Fulfillment logistics work on courier reach, not on how many miles separate a warehouse from a customer's front door. A single, well-run facility can serve a wide radius reliably; it doesn't need a duplicate of itself in every postcode.
What matters for a Durham seller isn't proximity in miles, it's whether service commitments hold up regardless of distance. They do. The 48-hour UK shipping standard, 99.8% order accuracy, and the full service catalogue below apply to Durham exactly as they apply to a city sitting next door to Wallasey.

Certifications & Scale
The network behind Wallasey
Wallasey isn't a standalone operation. It's one node in a certified, audited network that processes millions of units a month, which is part of why service to Durham holds up without a local warehouse.
AMZ Prep runs 50+ fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Netherlands, and UAE, processing more than 8 million units a month across that network. Wallasey draws on the same systems, training, and quality controls as every other facility in it, which is why Durham sellers get the same accuracy rate and service catalogue as sellers next door to a facility.

FAQ
Common questions about Durham coverage
Does AMZ Prep have a warehouse in Durham?
No. AMZ Prep does not operate a warehouse physically inside Durham. Sellers based in or shipping to Durham are served from AMZ Prep's nearest real UK facility, Wallasey (Unit 5 Ocean Park, Dock Road, Wallasey, CH41 1HW), which is 111.5 miles away. That facility is a real, named address you can look up, not a vague claim of local presence.
How does AMZ Prep deliver to Durham?
Orders bound for Durham are picked, packed, and dispatched from the Wallasey facility, then handed to UK-wide courier networks for last-mile delivery. This is standard 3PL practice: a facility covers a wide radius through couriers rather than needing a separate warehouse in every city it serves. The general UK shipping standard is 48 hours, regardless of how far a given city sits from the facility that ships it.
What is the closest AMZ Prep facility to Durham?
The closest AMZ Prep facility to Durham is Wallasey, located at Unit 5 Ocean Park, Dock Road, Wallasey, CH41 1HW, 111.5 miles away. AMZ Prep operates five UK facilities in total, in Southampton, Peterborough, Northampton, Heathrow, and Wallasey, and Wallasey is the one assigned to cover Durham.
What services are available for Durham-based sellers?
Sellers in Durham have full access to Amazon FBA prep, DTC order fulfillment, cold storage, kitting and bundling, labeling, custom packaging, polybagging, quality inspection, and returns processing. None of these services depend on Durham having a local AMZ Prep facility. They are fulfilled out of Wallasey and shipped UK-wide through the same courier networks used for every other city outside AMZ Prep's five physical UK locations.
What's the minimum order volume to work with AMZ Prep from Durham?
AMZ Prep requires a minimum of 300 orders per month. Sellers in Durham can reach that minimum by combining FBA prep, DTC fulfillment, and shipping volume rather than needing 300 orders in a single service line.
How long does onboarding take for a Durham seller?
Onboarding takes 2 to 4 weeks regardless of where in the UK a seller is based, including Durham. The timeline covers integration, inventory transfer or inbound shipping to Wallasey, and setup of the specific services a seller needs, such as FBA prep or DTC fulfillment.
Could AMZ Prep open a facility closer to Durham?
Possibly. AMZ Prep maintains an extensive network of partner and leased-facility relationships across the UK, and a new location is driven by real seller volume and service fit in a given market, not a fixed list of cities. If your business has meaningful order volume in or around Durham, reach out and AMZ Prep will evaluate whether a dedicated or partner facility there makes sense for both sides.
